Cambodia’s Bicycle and E-Bike Exports Surge Over 40%

PHNOM PENH, Feb 2, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia earned about US$609 million from bicycle and electric bicycle exports in 2025, a 42.7 percent increase compared to the previous year, the Ministry of Commerce said.

The strong growth reflects the country’s ability to maintain key export markets, ensure stable supply chains and retain the confidence of international buyers, the ministry noted.

Major destinations for Cambodian bicycles include the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, China, ASEAN countries, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, Australia, the Czech Republic, Italy, Colombia, South Korea, Spain, Slovenia and Canada.

In recent years, bicycle manufacturing has emerged as one of Cambodia’s most promising export sectors, particularly to European Union markets.

Socio-economic researcher Chey Tech said Cambodia’s exports continue to expand across industrial sectors, including garments, bicycle production, electrical components and electronics.

Currently, five companies assemble bicycles for export in Cambodia: Evergrand Bicycle (Cambodia), Speedtech Industrial Co Ltd, Smart Tech (Cambodia) Co Ltd, A and J (Cambodia) Co Ltd, and XDS Bicycle (Cambodia) Co Ltd.
