PHNOM PENH, March 6, 2026 (KPT) – Cambodia will host a “Village Francophone” cultural and tourism fair in Phnom Penh to mark the country’s role as host of the 20th Francophonie Summit, the Ministry of Tourism announced Thursday.

The event, scheduled for November 13–17, will run alongside the summit taking place from November 14–16 in the Cambodian capital.

According to the ministry, the “Village Francophone” will highlight tourism potential, cultural heritage and services from member states of the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, while also showcasing Cambodia’s own attractions and products.

Officials said the initiative is designed to foster cultural exchange and strengthen tourism cooperation among Francophone countries, while positioning Cambodia as a destination for major international gatherings.

Tourism associations, travel operators, private sector partners, development organizations, media outlets and the public have been invited to take part.

The ministry added that the “Village Francophone” is expected to draw both domestic and international visitors and reinforce Cambodia’s image as a welcoming destination under its national branding campaign: “Cambodia – Kingdom of Wonder: Feel the Warmth, Safe, Clean and Green.”
